Wyong Christian Community School is a K-12 Christian School with a current enrollment of over 740 students located on the Central Coast of NSW.

BAND DIRECTOR

Applications are invited from experienced Music Teachers with a strong commitment to Christian education.  This exciting part time position (1 day per week) will commence in Term 1, 2022.

The successful candidate will provide a music program for our students that is motivating, diverse and developmental.  They will enable our students the opportunity to achieve their God-given potential in embracing their musical gifts by learning new skills, rehearsing, developing, refining and performing.

Selection Criteria:

  •  Affirm a personal belief in the school’s Statement of Faith as well as active involvement within their local church.
  • Diploma of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, AMEB Grade 8 or above.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about music education and performing.

  • Display a high standard of competency, proficiency and innovation within the classroom, empowering students to creatively express themselves.
  • Provide evidence of exemplary teaching skills together with a sound Stage 4 to Stage 6 curriculum knowledge.
  • Be an effective reflective practitioner who displays strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be committed to pedagogical advancement in their classroom.
  • Demonstrate strong administrative skills, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • A good understanding of Explicit Instruction would be an advantage.
